Job Description

A growing and highly respected Mesothelioma/Asbestos law firm in Culver City is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team on a temp-to-hire basis. The firm is looking for a professional with strong litigation support experience who can immediately contribute to case management, discovery, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage discovery, including:
    • Form Interrogatories
    • Special Interrogatories
    • Requests for Admission (RFAs)
    • Requests for Production (RFPs)
  • Utilize and customize discovery templates and shells as needed
  • E-file documents in both California state and federal courts
  • Maintain and monitor litigation calendars and critical deadlines
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case organization
  • Support all phases of litigation from discovery through trial

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Experience drafting and responding to discovery (templates provided)
  • Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures in state and federal courts
  • Experience with calendaring litigation deadlines
  • Trial preparation experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred

  • Asbestos, toxic tort, personal injury, or mass tort litigation experience is a plus
  • Paralegal certificate is not required
